Central London’s largest conference and events centre has seen the growth in business over the last year boosted by a number of high profile events, including the live televised New Year’s Eve concert.
Managing partner of Kudos, Jon Pryce, said the figures were very promising for the venue and the London conference and meetings market.
“We are delighted with the performance of the business and Central Hall Westminster is having a great year. The turnover of CHW has increased by a remarkable 53% with a steady stream of new enquiries, which we’re helping to introduce to our partner venue through Venue Reservations.
"We are really happy with the figures as they echo the current buoyant market and demonstrate that Central Hall and Kudos are taking full advantage of the increased volumes of business in the Capital today.”
Paul Southern, managing director of CHW, added: “This has been a fantastic year and I’m delighted to see that the hard work and dedication of the team has been reflected in the new figures.
“We work very closely and effectively with our onsite catering team and they support our sales team with high quality and imaginative catering solutions.
“Our joined-up approach to sales has enabled us to grow the business dramatically over the past 12 months and Venue Reservations has also managed to double the number of events it has introduced to us.”
CHW is the largest events venue in central London with 22 meeting rooms, an exhibition area and an auditorium for over 2,000 people. The Grade II listed venue has hosted speakers and events for over 100 years, including speeches from Ghandi, Martin Luther King and Churchill to events for most of the current FTSE 100, fashion shows, the Laureus Wold Sports Awards and film shoots.
