Kudos has held the catering contract at the Saints since the 2012-2013 season and the company’s retail director Josh Beth says it has been implementing a series of improvements and upgrades to the bars, food areas and banqueting rooms as part of a long-term commitment to the club.
He said: “The new packaging was developed to show more of the product whilst on display, as well as include the “Northampton” name within the branding.
“In addition, new point-of-sale signage and dispensers have been produced for clarity and allow ease of purchase at busy times.
“Following our discussions with the client we knew that ‘estate branding’ was part of the solution and what could be better than own branded food at a community and fan driven venue.
“We are always keen to trial new food concepts across the business, with both hot and cold snack menus in this instance giving a nod towards local products such as the Northamptonshire Clanger and The Earls Barton Leek Tart.
“Whenever we introduce a new or slightly quirky product, the print, point of sale and packaging are absolutely crucial to sell the product whilst embracing the culture of both the regular visitors and guests to the club.
“Having already trialled various concepts to ensure we have the right balance of products ready for the new season, I am sure as part of our commitment we will be developing further hero products along the way.”
The launch of the new packaging coincided with the pre-season-friendly bank holiday weekend game against Edinburgh, which the Saints won 24-6.
