To celebrate World Water Day (22nd March), Elior has expanded its fundraising partnership by collaborating with Britvic to help them increase future donations. In addition to Elior’s donation of 1p per can of Aqua Libra water, Britvic has agreed to donate a further 1.5p per canned drink sold across Elior sites to Water Unite.
In 2023, Elior’s support to Water Unite helped distribute over 135 million litres of safe drinking water to over 500,000 people. Elior’s donations also helped to safely manage over 1,048 tonnes of faecal sludge, prevent over 2,700 tonnes of pollution and support over 4,700 jobs in emerging markets.
Charlotte Wright, director of consumer social responsibility for Elior UK, said: “I was lucky enough to go to Kenya last year and see first-hand how our fundraising contributions are making a difference. It is really humbling to see. Working with Britvic will now accelerate this progress and allow us to support even more people and communities.”
Elior UK is committed to making a difference by fostering sustainable practices, supporting local communities and driving positive change.
Louis Goring-Morris, partnerships director at Water Unite, added: "We’re so proud of everything we have achieved with Elior to date, and we are thrilled that Britvic is now onboard. Together we can achieve even more to tackle the world's most pressing water challenges.”
