Abstract
Elior UK has improved its credentials in sustainable business practice, recently picking up the highest-ranking CR award from the Soil Association (SA).

Café At-Bristol, the catering facility at At-Bristol has been awarded a SA Gold Food For Life Catering Mark.

Elior’s Kevin Collett, general manager at Café At-Bristol, is the man behind this recent success. He has led his team to offer a menu which meets the high standards required to achieve gold status. This includes using organic milk and meat products, free-range eggs and MSC accredited fish. More emphasis has been placed on provenance and the team has been trained in sustainable practice.

Collett commented: “Sustainability is very important here at At-Bristol. One of the permanent exhibitions in the centre is ‘Our World – No More Waste’ and this message is strongly reinforced in the catering offer. We have sourced compostable food packaging for our entire ‘grab and go’ range and have made agreements with all our nominated suppliers to only supply ingredients which comply to the gold standard requirements.”

In addition to this latest award, Café At-Bristol also holds the Compassion in World Farming Good Egg and Good Chicken awards, a silver South West Business Fair Trade Award and is a member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
