“This is the next stage in our detailed succession planning schedule and is a very positive time for us all,” said Herring.
“I am to become the chairman of Connect so my input and philosophy will remain at the heart of the company.”
Laver said the pair were excited about their new roles as joint managing directors.
“We work very well together, complementing each other’s strengths and abilities whilst we look forward to evolving the company over the next 25 years,” she said.
“We have a strong team of highly experienced and professional managers to support us, ensuring Connect continues to deliver our very high standards through attention to detail and genuine working partnerships with each individual client.”
Bendall added: “We will still draw on John’s extensive experience and guidance as we plan and develop Connect’s business into the future.”
Connect started in 1989 and currently employs 390 people to operate more than 70 contracts generating sales worth over £10m, mostly in the B&I market.
