Abstract
Contract caterer Catermasters has developed a bespoke App that will not only enhance the experience of its customers but also give the workplace catering specialist valuable feedback about its service and food quality.

Catermasters has recognised the value that smartphone communication can bring in the contract sector and its brand-new App will officially launch in November.

Once customers have downloaded the free Catermasters App, they will be able to place advance sandwich orders at the Catermasters restaurant on their site, view weekly and daily food menus at their site (complete with pricing details), rate the food and service at their site, receive information about site promotions and collect electronic loyalty points as a reward for their custom.

Joint managing director, Tony Carr, explained: “Smartphone technology is commonplace these days, so by developing our own App we feel we can take our customer interaction to a new level and give our customers all the information they may be looking for in a way that suits their needs and lifestyle.”

Mandy Cherry, the property & facilities manager at Oxford University Press, added: “I have been using the latest development of the Catermasters App in recent weeks and I’m very impressed.

“It’s extremely clever how you can get so much information straight to your phone and I think our staff will be very keen to use it as there are numerous benefits to them. The restaurant at OUP serves a very important function and the more people know about it and can get closer to it the better, in my opinion.”
