Abstract
Award-winning contract caterer Amadeus picked up five awards at the recent MARCHE Awards for Excellence; these included Chef of the Year, Young Chef of the Year and the Cook and Serve team award.

More than 1,000 of the region’s top chefs and restaurant owners gathered at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham for the annual Midland’s Association of Restaurants, Caterers, Hoteliers and Entertainment (MARCHE) Awards ceremony – the largest culinary ceremony outside London.

It was a big night for Olympic caterer Amadeus, which had 12 employees shortlisted for awards across five categories.

The company’s winners were Jessie Cichero, Chef of the Year, Gemma Field, Young Chef of the Year, while Leon Churchill, Clayton James and John Davison rounded off the night for Amadeus when they took the Cook and Serve Team award.

Managing Director of Amadeus Kevin Watson said: “There is an exemplary level of catering talent and innovation in this region, and the Marche awards provide the perfect platform to show what we can do.

“I am extremely proud of our winners and all our finalists who did an amazing job to get as far as they did in the competition – it is a true testament to the commitment of every member of the Amadeus team.

“I believe that it is down to the dedication, talent and hard-work of all our people that Amadeus has enjoyed the success it has so far and our teams are without a doubt up there with the best in the industry.”

All the Amadeus winners are based at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham as part of the in-house catering team.
