The environmentally friendly Clock Café, built from recycled shipping containers, features a retail shop and a café. It has been designed in a “pop-up” style, having the flexibility of being able to be dismantled and moved.
The café includes a natural green living wall with an integrated water delivery system, as well as internal and external seating for 55 people.
Steve Cenci, managing director of Healthcare, said: “The launch of the Clock Café at Chase Farm Hospital has been very exciting for the Healthcare team.
“Sustainability, innovation as well as Health and Wellbeing has been the forefront of our offer and together with the Royal Free London, we have managed to create a unique environment that enhances the current facilities on site but also sets an example for delivering a flexible offer for staff and visitors. We are excited to be part of the hospital’s journey as it begins its transformation.”
All dishes served at the café contain less than 500 calories with each meal supported by full nutritional analysis. The menu includes a range of hot and cold foods, homemade cakes and juices.
