Compass Group retains contract at Goodwood

The deal is worth £6.5 million revenue in year one, growing year on year to £9 million by the final year of the contract. The caterer will be supplying hospitality and retail services for the 23 race days including the highlight of the social summer season, Glorious Goodwood, and also the catering for the two main motor sport events, Festival of Speed and Revival. These events all attract more than 500,000 visitors to the Goodwood Estate. As part of the contract, Compass is also investing £1.5 million to refurbish the kitchens, install a central production unit and enhance the retail offer. The central production unit will not only bring greater flexibility to the racecourse but will also expand the operation to produce the Goodwood Estate's own range of organic products.
