Abstract
Robin Mills, managing director of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has pledged to help thousands of frontline workers over the coming months.

Across the UK and Ireland, Compass Group employs around 50,0000 people in a variety of job roles and sectors. Compass offers employees the opportunity to progress, upskill through training and build lifetime careers.

Mills said: “Each and every one of our colleagues does an amazing job, day in and day out, and we appreciate all that they do. We are proud of our caring culture and are committed to supporting our people and the communities we serve during this difficult time.

“Working with our employees, we have put together a comprehensive support package to help our thousands of frontline workers over the coming months. Ultimately, the health, safety and wellbeing of our people is always our top priority, so we urge any of our employees to reach out for our support if ever they need it.”

Compass announced they will be providing employees with access to a free meal during their shift, which equates to approximately 200,000 meals a week. Compass has also enhanced its ‘Helping Hand’ fund, from which employees can receive funding on a grant basis to support with an emergency or unexpected payments.

This is in addition to their free 24/7 medical and counselling support and regular discounts for household shopping through the Perks at Work scheme.
