1,500 people sign up to Compass Career Pathways
Abstract
Compass Group UK & Ireland is celebrating a milestone in its training and development scheme as more than 1,500 members of staff have signed up since the launch of the Compass Career Pathways programme in late 2021.

Compass Career Pathways provide a clear plan of development and training for all operational roles and central functions. The pathways support colleagues in achieving their career ambitions, whether that is to move up to more senior roles or moving to a different part of the business.

The programme promotes a system for progression based on skills and behaviours for the job, rather than academic qualifications, ensuring that Compass employees from all backgrounds have the opportunity to pursue the career they want.

Amanda Scott, talent, learning and diversity & inclusion director at Compass Group UK&I said: “This programme is designed to remove barriers and allows colleagues from all backgrounds to follow their aspirations.

“We are equally proud that we are seeing a significant proportion of people that complete the Career Pathways programmes securing promotions or changing roles within Compass. Our aim is to have training programmes that are available to all, so that everyone has the opportunity to grow and move up the career ladder.”

Compass Career Pathways forms part the Mission to a Million commitment, which aims to provide support to one million people by 2030 through jobs, training, community engagement and development.
