Abstract
The Clink Charity, which works to reduce reoffending rates through the delivery of hospitality training in prisons, has announced that they have postponed their Charity Ball.

In a statement released on Twitter, a spokesperson said: “It is with regret that we have decided to postpone the Clink Ball until Friday 22 July. Having taken into account the present Covid situation, and whilst still wishing to support our industry, the decision has been made that we cannot put our graduates, students and staff at risk.

“As you will appreciate the Ball is a major fundraiser for the charity which enables us to continue our work at this time when our graduates need support, and we hope that you will still be able to join us on Friday 22 July. Unless we hear otherwise, we will transfer your booking to the new date. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you on the night.”

Previous balls have seen the amount raised increase year on year and the events have now raised a combined total of over £120,000. On the night several Clink graduates will discuss how the scheme has helped to transform their lives.
