Clink Charity wins Best Educational Programme at IoH Awards
Abstract
The Clink Charity won Best Educational Programme (SME), sponsored by HIT Training, for their Clink Kitchens project at the 85th Institute of Hospitality Annual Dinner and Awards.

Operations director Jane Sanderson, national customer operations manager Simon McKinnon-Brahams, and quality & training director Paul Clarkson were present to receive the award on stage.

Clink Kitchens operates in 30 prisons across England and Wales, where chef trainer assessors are currently training 150 students working in the existing prison kitchen towards gaining their qualifications.

The Clink can deliver training for up to 250 men and women in prison kitchens to achieve qualifications in hospitality and gain employment upon release, which has been proven to dramatically reduce reoffending.

Yvonne Thomas, chief executive, said: “It’s a whole Clink team award. Everyone has played a part. Thank you to all who have helped move this project forward.”
