Clink appoints Dan Snow as group communications ambassador
Abstract
The Clink Charity has appointed television presenter Dan Snow as group communications ambassador.

Snow has presented a number of history documentaries on the BBC and has been a supporter of the Clink Charity since the first restaurant opened in 2009.

He said: “The history of crime and punishment is sometimes a murky one. To bear witness to how far we have come with training initiatives such as The Clink Charity and Restaurants shows how much we have progressed as a society.

“Focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment has real potential to reduce the constant spiral of crime for the benefit of society as a whole and The Clink demonstrates this every day.

“My role as group communications ambassador allows me to be directly involved with the history of the criminal justice system and I hope that by lending my experience in broadcast journalism and leveraging my network of contacts, I will bring further awareness to the excellent work the charity does.”

Chris Moore, chief executive of The Clink Charity, said: “Dan has been a great support to us since the beginning and having him on-board as an ambassador will support us in spreading the word of The Clink even further.

“Someone of Dan’s vast knowledge and media experience is hugely beneficial in raising the charity’s profile. Having a respected, friendly and recognisable face on-board enables us to reach new audiences.”

The Clink Charity’s Ambassador Programme also features an array of high profile industry professionals, including restaurateurs Antonio Carluccio OBE and Albert Roux OBE and Michelin star chef Giorgio Locatelli.
