Pie and pasty maker, Chunk of Devon, has been selected to represent the pie offering at the new Ashton Gate Stadium, home of Bristol City FC and Bristol Rugby.
Ashton Gate's executive head chef, George Opondo, wanted to raise the stadium’s game and offer a special experience for both foodies and sports fans alike. George and his team have put together a concessions menu that includes food supplied by local producers and suppliers.
Opondo said: “There are so many great products being made right here in the South West and it was tough making a selection for the new menu. We went with Chunk because they were a great match for Ashton Gate – they make no nonsense, great quality pies and champion the South West.”
Ashton Gate is currently undergoing a £45 million pound rebuild to transform it into a 27,000-seater stadium by August 2016.
