Independent wholesaler BB Foodservice claims it can deliver Christmas dinner ‘with all the trimmings’ for £2.00 per plate, enhancing operators’ chance of capitalising on this year’s festive footfall.
With all items from the company’s core range, each plate portion includes:
- 200g turkey crown
- 250g Essentially Catering white potatoes
- 75g Essentially Catering fluted carrots
- 75g Essentially Catering Brussel sprouts
- 75g Essentially Catering parsnips
- 2x Aunt Bessie sage and onion stuffing balls
- 2x frozen pigs in blankets
- 70mlx380 Essentially Catering gravy granules
- 50g Baxters cranberry sauce
As Brits reportedly expect to pay an average of £58 for Christmas dinner out-of-home, the wholesaler said “the profit margin opportunities for operators is huge.”
Sales director Tony Holmes added: “The festive period is arguably the busiest in foodservice. Operators with the right Christmas offer can take advantage of the increased custom and really reap the benefits.
“From welcome drinks to dinner with all the trimmings, we’re ensuring that our customers’ costs stay low without compromising on the Christmas experience their customers expect.
“With like-for-like sales in Christmas dining on the decline, great margin is going to be key this year.”
