Abstract
Tomorrow sees the much-anticipated launch of the first Cadbury Cocoa House, which the chocolate company says will “bring a whole new chocolate experience to the British high streetâ€.
This exciting new destination created by three British entrepreneurs, will open its doors on Tuesday 19th October 2010 at Bluewater, Kent. The store aims to bring British nostalgia to the high street with many ingredients sourced locally. As well as hot and chilled chocolate and unique chocolate treats, there will also be traditional afternoon tea served on a tiered silver stand, knickerbocker glories and quirky cakes, alongside classic British favourite lunches of Welsh rarebit and a twist on the good old bacon butty. A range of chocolate-infused 'choctails' and a choice of champagnes by the glass will also be on offer. A 30-foot ice cream bar will boast a cracked caramel effect work-top; chocolate-coloured leather booths will be studded with white faux-chocolate buttons and 'sink into' sofas will sit in front of a feature fireplace to create a cosy living room vibe. With different 'zones' created for different moods and occasions, customers can perch at a nougat table or curl up with a mug of hot chocolate. Cadbury Cocoa House will be open daily from 10am – 9pm for elevenses, afternoon tea, evening platters and everything in between.
