Abstract
Restaurant and catering company Peyton and Byrne is kick-starting its new series of events, ‘Cooking the Books’ this month - designed to “bring top chefs and famous food authors into London venues to demonstrate how to cook some of the trademark recipes in their (cookbooks).”

Starting with Stephen Harris, chef-owner of The Sportsman, Kent on 22 November, the launch event will see him takeover the National Gallery’s National Café - Restaurant and Bar, as he serves a five-course meal using recipes from his recently released cookbook, ‘The Sportsman.’

Oliver Peyton said: “We are very excited to be launching our new ‘Cooking the Book’ series, where some of the finest chefs from across the country will be visiting our venues to demonstrate some of the dishes which helped put them on the map.

“To have been able to secure Stephen Harris for our opening event is a real coup for us, and we are delighted to be able to welcome him to The National Café to share some of his secrets and tricks of the trade” – having been named the UK’s best restaurant in both the 2016 and 2017 National Restaurant Awards.

The £60 per person ticket includes a five course tasting menu, question and answer session and book signing, and can be purchased via http://www.peytonandbyrne.co.uk/upcoming-events/.
