Abstract
CH&Co Group, the independent hospitality and catering group, has established a new learning and development team structure as it strengthens commitment to employee training and progression.

The group has made key appointments to teams responsible for delivering a development programme of bespoke training workshops including for talent spotting, coaching and mentoring, the CH&Co Group Chef Academy and apprenticeships.

The group’s move is part of its recruitment and training strategy to attract talent and give employees the opportunity to develop their skills.

Alison Gilbert, group human resources director for CH&Co group, said: “Learning and development is fundamental to the success of our business.

“By giving our people the right to support and opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge and progress their careers, we’re investing in the business.”

James Godwin, previously training manager at Bill’s Restaurants, heads the new team with Steve Oram, previously business development chef at Nestle Professional, as learning and development manager and culinary learning and development manager, respectively.

They will be supported by a team of four regional trainers for London, the north of England, the midlands and the south of England.
