Chartwells achieves two Food for Life Served Here certifications
Abstract
Education catering company Chartwells has achieved a gold Food for Life Served Here certification in Bristol and silver in Lewisham.

Both certifications show a drive and desire from both councils to serve healthy and sustainable school meals. Across Bristol 7,500 of these healthy and sustainable meals are being served to pupils by Chartwells each day.

Evie Tanner, medical diet nutritionist at Chartwells, said: “Nutritious food is pivotal to children’s long-term health, wellbeing, learning and development. By showing our commitment to meeting gold Food for Life Served Here standards, both our clients and the parents and carers of our future generations can be reassured that their children are served food that is not only nutritious and delicious, but also of the highest of standards.

“It is fantastic to be able to showcase that we are working hard to pioneer new partnerships with local businesses and suppliers, for fresh, local and sustainable. The Soil Association’s hometown is Bristol and we are really proud to demonstrate that our meals across Bristol are served in line with the highest level of Food for Life Served Here Standards.”
