Abstract
Charlton House has won a staff catering contract worth £200,000 in annual turnover with Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C, London's traditional family brewer.
Fuller's has occupied the site at Griffin Brewery in Chiswick since 1845. Charlton House provided a design for a refurbishment of the staff restaurant, The Stables, housed in the brewery's original stables blocks. The restaurant will feature a theatre bar to enhance customer and chef interaction. Steve Wishart, operations manager for Charlton House, commented on their day to day involvement with the brewer: "Breakfast is the busiest time of the day. We start the service at 5.30am to facilitate the brewery workers and draymen. We don't finish service until after 6pm as we stay open to cater for office staff. There is a real sense of history on site but our food offer is contemporary, healthy food at its very best." Fran Howell, group purchasing manager for Fuller's, added: "It takes a team effort to provide the level of service and quality of product we demand, and there is no doubt that we owe our success to our incredible teams of people throughout the business. We understand the importance of looking after all our employees, which is why we wanted a caterer with the same pride and passion for quality standards."
