Charlton House retains CAA contract for a further four years

8th Jul 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
Contract caterer Charlton House has retained its contract for a further four years with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), an independent specialist aviation regulator.
The deal, which is worth £650,000 in turnover per year, provides catering services for 900 staff across two sites, one in Gatwick and the other in central London. Tim Jones, chairman and co-founder of Charlton House, said: "The CAA is a very valued client and we see this as a great vote of confidence in our quality standards and in our people. We look forward to continuing this close working relationship with our client and maintaining our focus on constant innovation and improvement." "Business retention is vital, especially in this current economic climate. Good news such as this not only boosts staff morale but it reminds us all why we are in this business and why we must work hard to retain our standards." Dave Diamond, head of estate services at the CAA, added: "Despite facing strong competition throughout the tender process, Charlton House came out on top. We would not have put them on a pedestal just for others to knock them. This is a great reflection of our working relationship and the trust which has been built over the last ten years."
