Abstract
Tim Hewlett, a Charlton House's support chef manager from Appledore in Bracknell, Berkshire, has been named 'Employee of the Year 2008'.
Tim received an engraved plaque, a bottle of champagne and £500 worth of Marks & Spencer vouchers at a surprise award ceremony, held at Charlton House's offices at Bryants Farm in Berkshire on Wednesday 17th December. Singled out from almost 2,000 Charlton House employees nationwide, Tim won the coveted title because of his outstanding commitment to Charlton House over the past eight and a half years. Alison May, Charlton House operations manager, said: "Tim is conscientious, hard-working and never leaves a job undone. Being on the support team can be challenging at times yet Tim takes everything in his stride. He never complains and is a highly respected team player who deserves this recognition." Tim said: "I can honestly say that this has come as a complete surprise. I just can't believe it has happened and would like to thank my manager and others for nominating me and for all of the support she and the rest of the team have given to me."
