Abstract
Manchester-based business Shoot the Moon is to publish a charity cookbook in aid of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (RMCH), after reaching its £3,200 crowdfunding target.

Supporting the hospital’s Children’s and Adolescent Mental Health Service this year, £3.24 of every book sold will be donated. Creative agency Shoot the Moon hopes to raise ‘a minimum’ of £1,000 in profits.

‘It’s Cooking Good!’ will feature recipes from over 20 local restaurants and is to be shot by Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2017, Darren Hickson.

He said: “Producing the cookbook is a challenge, but one we hope will be supported by the local community.

“The book is a homage to the independents’ flair and creativity, bringing Manchester together through great food. You can now take it home and turn dinner into a good deed.”

The book will form part of RMCH’s ‘Many Hands’ campaign, which encourages businesses to fundraise through ‘innovative’ initiatives and is supported by former Dragons Den investor, Theo Paphitis.

Paphitis commented: “”Many Hands is an excellent initiative which affords small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to their local hospital charity.

“It demonstrates how working together they can make a huge difference to the children treated at the hospital’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Unit.”
