Hasting’s Pier Charity CEO Simon Opie, said: “As well as providing the retail catering for all our visitors and scheduled events such as outdoor cinema screenings and live music concerts, Centerplate will also help us develop our conference and events business using the function rooms in The Deck at Hastings Pier.”
Dining facilities at Hastings Pier will include a full service restaurant in the last remaining, original building on the pier, The Pavilion and The Deck at Hastings Pier, a new Visitor Centre that includes a café plus roof terrace.
The broad range of food on offer has been developed to cater for all tastes from the ‘Bucket & Spade Club’ children’s menu and line caught cod and chips for visitors looking for traditional seaside fayre.
Grazing-themed menus will also be available offering tapas-style dining aimed at the younger generation of consumers.
Centerplate also has plans for a range of mobile units to sell ice cream, doughnuts, candy floss, sweets and snacks.
The pier has a focus on local Sussex producers including locally sourced seafood, Sussex Ice Cream, a new exclusive beer from Harveys Brewery, and Nyetimber Vineyard.
