Abstract
Center Parcs, a network of European holiday villages, has joined forces with hospitality training provider, HIT training, to launch a new apprenticeship programme across its UK sites.

The programme will support 56 apprentices across the company’s five UK villages and company headquarters.

Food & beverage and leisure will be among the roles taught in the tailor-made programme that offers learners a Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship, alongside an ILM Level 3 diploma in management.

HIT says key to programme will be its relationship with the Center Parcs training team, a focus on face-to-face workshops and the chance to experience different roles, encouraging greater awareness of Center Parcs’ wider business and the opportunities / challenges experienced by each division.

Tracey Anderson, performance and development manager at Center Parcs, said: “We have always offered great management and leadership programmes at Center Parcs and this is a great addition to what we offer.

“Going forward, our apprentices will learn from this great programme then will be able to share their experiences with colleagues and become role models for other members of the team. This makes it a really great learning circle.”

Jill Whittaker, managing director of HIT Training, added: “Working in partnership with Center Parcs, we have developed a tailored apprenticeship programme which maps to their existing training and sits perfectly alongside the competencies of the ILM management diploma.

“Center Parcs is a forward-thinking business and today is fully embracing the opportunities afforded by the new apprenticeship standards. Together, we will provide employees with the industry-specific skills and confidence needed to progress in their careers and help secure the continued success of the business.”

HIT Training claims to have supported over 100,000 learners across 20,000 employer sites throughout the country since its launch in 2006.

It recently announced that its new Licensed Retail Academy will be led by Jeremy Scorer.
