CEDA Conference under 'Making THE difference' theme

BBC News’ Click presenter, Laura-Jane Rich, is the latest name unveiled for the next CEDA Conference on April 24th looking at what is shaping, and will shape foodservice equipment.

The conference, hosted by Peter Martin of Peach Reports, will ask ‘What’s making the difference in foodservice and hospitality?’

Martin will lead off outlining the top ten trends and 2020 vision of the future of foodservice and hospitality in the UK followed by Paul Goodale, director of Epicurean Holdings, considering the driving forces behind developments in retail, chains and the high street. Allister Richards, managing director of Gather & Gather adds to the panel with an insightful view of the future of contract catering in the UK. The final presentation on the impact of design and creativity comes from Tim Mutton, founder and CEO of international design agency Black Sheep whose clients include: Jamie Oliver, Raymond Blanc, Four Seasons, The Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, BrewDog and Wagamama.

LJ is described as a self-confessed ‘geek' and started out as a musician who developed a passion for music technology which led to a job as a sound engineer for Pete Waterman before moving into television. In her role at Click she covers social media trends and gadgets and she also speaks publicly about consumer and technology trends. LJ also finds the time to run her own music production company.

Delegates listening to LJ Rich can expect to understand more about the ‘Future Difference' that emerging technology from 3D printers and digital apps to automated self-service restaurants will have in the UK foodservice sector.
