He took over the role of managing director in 1996, taking over from his father, having joined the company on leaving school.
Kitchin says: “I am proud and grateful to have worked at C&C for 35 years. The industry is fantastic, and I couldn't imagine working anywhere else.
“I've seen the company continuously grow during my time at the business, and I am delighted to have recently enjoyed our best financial year to date. It just keeps getting better, and I have enjoyed almost every single day.”
When he started working with his father they sold smaller pieces of equipment, with most trade taking place in Chester and Clwyd – hence the reason for the name C&C.
He now leads a company that works nationally but has 90% of its work based in London.
Last year saw C&C become the 2016 CEDA Grand Prix Overall Winner and win the 2016 Catering Insight Project Management Award.
