Abstract
Catermasters, a supplier of contract catering solutions, has kicked off a fundraising initiative to raise £50,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.
The Leamington-based company conducted a poll to see which charity its staff and clients would like to support and Teenage Cancer Trust emerged as the clear favourite.
Every day six teenagers find out they have cancer. By building specialist units in NHS hospitals, Teenage Cancer Trust provides the best possible care and professional support for these young people and their families.
By reaching its £50,000 target, Catermasters will play an instrumental role in helping Teenage Cancer Trust to ensure that every single teenager diagnosed with cancer will be treated in an age-appropriate environment, rather than with young children or the elderly. "As a company we work very hard to ensure we have a first class relationship with our clients and we're always looking for ways to bring some fun and enjoyment to that relationship," explained Catermasters' joint managing director, Richard Moody. "What better way than to try and raise a large sum of money for a charity that does excellent work for a very needy group of young people? "The fundraising effort has already started in earnest and I'm sure there will be some pretty wacky and interesting events coming up during the coming months – it doesn't matter what people do as long as they're enjoying themselves and getting people to support them."
