Catermasters enters second decade with The LSC

24th Dec 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
Contract caterer Catermasters has successfully won a new five-year contract with The Learning and Skills Council (LSC).
The LSC is based in Coventry and Catermasters has provided services for the last 10 years. Catermasters said it regards The LSC site in Coventry as one of its most prestigious contracts and has even established its training and development centre for new chefs at the venue. Its 13-strong team is headed up by Clive Jones and John Stephens. Under the latest contract, Catermasters will continue to provide food and service to The LSC workforce that totals 650 people in Coventry. This encompasses High Street deli-style lunches, hot and cold breakfast and lunches in the restaurant and hospitality lunches in The LSC conference rooms. The LSC facilities manager, Sue Walker, said: "We have enjoyed a very successful relationship with Catermasters for the last decade and, having looked at other suppliers in the marketplace, we don't feel there is any need to change. Catermasters goes out of its way to give our staff everything they need and more. That level of service is invaluable to us." Catermasters joint managing director, Nigel Johnson, said: "There is no bigger endorsement for a company than when a client goes through a competitive tender process and opts to stick with its original supplier. That illustrates there is nobody out there doing anything better than us and we are extremely proud of that status. I would like to thank the team for their continued hard work and effort; we couldn't have done it without them."
