Catermasters sees the acquisition of Bite as a significant step towards achieving this goal. The value of the acquisition is undisclosed.
Bite currently operates eight contracts in London, the Home Counties and the South East and has a turnover of approximately £2.2 million. As well as inheriting eight contracts, Catermasters has also welcomed the 55-strong Bite workforce to its ranks.
Catermasters joint managing director, Nigel Johnson, said: “Bite is a much smaller company than Catermasters but its approach to workplace catering and general business model is very similar to ours.
“Like Catermasters, Bite places a huge emphasis on using fresh, seasonal ingredients to cook fantastic food, employing the best people in the industry and running restaurants, coffee bars and delis that people inside the workplace genuinely want to use.
“Therefore, this acquisition is great news for both companies and myself and the rest of the Catermasters team are very much looking forward to working alongside our talented new friends at Bite.”
