Catering Design Group welcomes new safety accreditation
Abstract
Daventry-based Catering Design Group has become one of the first companies to sign up to the new cedaSAFE Health and Safety Accreditation scheme.

The cedaSAFE accreditation scheme was devised because of the need for a single assessment standard for the foodservice, catering and hospitality industry.

Sixteen members of the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) have already embraced the new safety accreditation scheme.

Helen Davis, commercial director of Catering Design Group, said: “We take our health & safety responsibilities very seriously, so we welcome and support this latest initiative from ceda.

“This new accreditation strengthens our commitment to and investment in health and safety further, ensuring enhanced customer confidence and the peace of mind of knowing that we continue to meet exacting and externally audited standards.”

Catering Design Group already holds SafeContractor and Constructionline accreditation, a reflection of the systems and processes already in place.

Adam Mason, director general of ceda, added: “I am delighted that CDG are among the first companies to have successfully achieved the cedaSAFE accreditation. By doing so, they are demonstrating their commitment to their health & safety practice, systems and procedures at the highest levels.”

Within a month 16 companies have already applied and successfully passed their assessments and have been issued accreditation certificates. Some of the other companies include Marren Microwave ltd, Apeiron catering ltd and Rationale UK ltd.
