Catering company Feast in talks over second gastropub

12th Jun 2012 - 00:00
Abstract
Catering and hospitality company, Feast, is now in negotiations to take over a second gastropub, just seven months after taking on its first venture.
Part of PR and marketing consultancy, The CHA Group, Feast took on its first pub, The Swan Inn in Great Shefford, Berkshire, back in November 2011. Feast is now hoping to repeat this initial success with a second pub in Wiltshire, despite figures released by the British Beer and Pub Association earlier this year, announcing the closing rate of pubs being at 25 per week. Colin Higgins, founder of Feast and managing director of the Group explained: "This is a much bigger project and has the potential we are looking for; a great location, several bedrooms for accommodation and a real identity. Our approach with The Swan Inn was to maintain the tradition of the great British pub, whilst incorporating exciting new ideas to enhance the experience for our customers. "We work with local suppliers to provide fair trade, sustainable produce and cook fresh, wholesome food for our customers – an ethos we will continue with further premises. "We always keep our eye out for pubs that have a high turnover potential. Today there are a lot of once great pubs that have been neglected and need bringing back to life. We enjoy a challenge and are always on the lookout for properties to invest in."
