Abstract
National independent contract catering company, Catering Academy, has scooped a coveted win with Notting Hill Housing to cater for eight existing Extra Care services and one new service in Lewisham.

Catering Academy’s commitment to delivering a personal service secured the contract with NHH. The team engaged with each resident before designing its bespoke menus, to ensure dietary requirements were being met along with variety, design and value for money.

Founder Director, Louise Wymer, said:  “Healthcare is a growth market for Catering Academy, and our recent success demonstrates how we’re evolving our service to win client confidence within the sector. This has been bolstered by the recent appointment of Jason Jones as General Manager of Healthcare, who has fused his experience and genuine empathy for residents with the company’s values and ethos.”

Workshops such as creating a ‘Sense of Ageing’ proved to Notting Hill Housing that Catering Academy shared the same ethos. The workshops gave the team the unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to be an older person, which involved a three-course lunch where attendees were asked to wear equipment that simulated a number of ailments.
