Abstract
National independent contract catering company Catering Academy has secured a top 10 position in Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list of companies 2009.
The Fast Track league table is a barometer of the UK's most successful businesses which is awarded for the individual success of private companies by analysing and researching their growth in terms of annual turnover compared to that of previous years. Another key component to the research process requires all companies featured in the table to record a year on year profit as well as significant sales growth. Richard Branson, founder and president of the Virgin Group, who sponsor the Fast Track 100, praised the businesses featured in the list for showing 'through entrepreneurship and innovation it's possible to weather a tough year and inspire a sense of optimism for the future'. The Fast Track 100 conference and awards dinner will be held at Richard Branson's family home in Kidlington, Oxfordshire on Wednesday, 12 May 2010. Speaking about their recent success, Louise Wymer, Catering Academy director, commented: "Just to be nominated in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 is an honour in itself, then to be included was a dream come true, but to be ranked within the top 10 is a phenomenal accomplishment for the team at Catering Academy. " "To enter the table so highly in a year that has been publically slammed as 'economically uncertain' is an indicator of how hard all our staff, managers and Directors work throughout the year to make such an achievement possible."
