Catering Academy highlight commitment to staff with national Q&A seminars

28th Oct 2010 - 00:00
Abstract
National independent contract catering company, Catering Academy have always been vocal regarding the attributing factors of their success.
Their ethos and values encompass a passion for fresh, sustainable produce, backed by a team of loyal staff members who have a real zest for delivering excellence. Following on from a hugely successful six years, the Founder Directors wanted to set out a plan for the company going forward that included each and every member of Team Academy. In light of their commercial growth, Catering Academy wanted to focus in on the core values that had made them successful originally, and re-establish the position of the company to the people who had helped them succeed. Nearing a team total of 1,000, the Founder Directors decided the best way to reach as many of the team as possible was to hold national road shows up and down the country so their objectives could be communicated effectively. The road shows, aptly named P.R.I.D.E (Personally Responsible In Delivering Excellence), will be held throughout November and December across six regions in the UK and will include two representatives from each of Catering Academy's national contract sites. Prior to the road shows the team got involved with the process of defining the company's position and developing a strategy for the future. Identity and planning days were held with a huge cross section of the catering academy team members. The Directors were delighted with the feedback they received from these sessions and have used this to shape the structure of their P.R.I.D.E seminars. Founder director, Louise Wymer said: "With such a large and widespread team it's important for the Directors to keep a direct channel of communication with the staff to ensure consistency with our service and our ethos of 'personally delivering excellence.' "Our staff have always been instrumental to our commercial success and with such a reputable growth rate we feel it's time to re-emphasize the commitment to our team and bring them up to date with our plans for 2011." The six sessions will include an overview of Catering Academy's history, ethos and values, the importance of performance, communication and personal responsibility and implementing P.R.I.D.E into your team. The comments and feedback from each seminar will be incorporated into the company's strategy for 2011 and will go live across all contract sites from January.
