Abstract
Representatives from the LACA Welsh Region had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for £750 to Tŷ Gobaith children's hospice in Conwy, North Wales on Friday 1st July.
Anne Bull, Head of Catering at Rhondda Cynon Taf and Chair of LACA Wales and Carol Davies, Catering Manager, Conwy County Borough Council met with Beverley Bradley, Area Fundraiser at Tŷ Gobaith to hand over the cheque that was raised by LACA members at a LACA Awards evening held in Cardiff earlier this year. Anne Bull said, "It is a privilege to present the money to Tŷ Gobaith in North Wales. LACA Wales members requested that the raffle money should be given to a Welsh children's charity and so it is with pleasure that we are able to present this cheque for such a good cause." A total of £1500 was raised at the LACA Awards evening and is being split between two charities. The remaining £750 will be presented by LACA Wales to Ty Hafren near Cardiff later this month. The Association is made up of caterers, suppliers and food and equipment manufacturers who are involved in providing food in schools to local authorities throughout Britain.
