Abstract
Sodexo has extended its contract with ING Bank for a further three years as part of a multi-million pound deal.
The contract, which originally started over 25 years ago in 1982, is worth £18 million in total turnover. As part of its contract, Sodexo provides catering, cleaning, security, mailroom, receptions, switchboard, space planning, help desk, archiving and record services.
In the last six years, the contract has grown from being solely catering, to what is now a total facilities management deal. Simon Knight, Sodexo operations executive at ING Bank, said: "This achievement has been possible by working in a true partnership with the client, understanding their needs and working together to achieve common goals."
In addition to retaining this prestigious contract, Sodexo has also announced that it has achieved the ISO9001 accreditation for catering at ING Bank.
Mike Smith, head of premises and facilities at ING Bank, added: "We have enjoyed a long-term, successful business partnership with Sodexo. Initially the relationship was restricted to soft services only but, in 2007, we awarded Sodexo an FM contract which encompassed all of our facilities activities including both hard and soft services.
"Sodexo performed excellently in the first three years of operating the contact and has delivered on all cost reduction and service level targets. This success has led to us extending the contract for a further three years which we believe will be equally successful for both parties."
