Abstract
Hampshire County Council’s caterer HC3S has revealed a series of themed menus so primary school lunches can be planned around national sporting and cultural events.
The themed menus include Halloween, Black History Month, Bonfire Night, Children in Need, Pancake Day, Valentine’s Day, World Book Day, Easter, Euro 2024 and Sports Day.
A spokesperson for HC3S said: “Participating in a theme brings children together and create a sense of community. That’s why we create exciting theme day lunches to help schools extend their theme through the school day.
“Why not invite parents, carers and grandparents to join in Mothers’ or Father’s Day lunches too so they can taste the food for themselves. This will also increase your uptake.”
