Caterer Elior UK supports school with business mentoring day
Abstract
Foodservice caterer Elior UK recently took a group of Redditch students to London for a business mentoring day.

The caterer took 12 Year 10 students from Arrow Vale School in Redditch to London for the trip, which included a visit to Borough Market focused on food trends and a tour of the Innocent Smoothies headquarters.

Rachel McEntee, offer development manager, Elior UK, said: “The key purpose of the trip was to open the students’ minds to different career opportunities expanding their horizons and aspirations for the future.

“Many of them had not visited London before. The feedback from the students and staff couldn’t have been more positive.”

The day also included a trip on the London Eye, a tour of The Sun newspaper’s offices at News UK and a trip to law firm, Linklaters, concentrated on law careers and included a tour of the hospitality rooms, restaurant and coffee shop.

The company is supporting the school with business mentoring over a three year period.

David Lawrence, head of Year 10 at Arrow Vale School, said: “It was an amazing day out for our students. The experiences they had will stay with them forever.”

Elior operates high profile catering contracts across the B&I, health & care homes, defence, education, stadia and heritage sectors. Elior UK is part of Elior Groupe, which operates across Europe with annual revenues of €5.2m.
