Abstract
Nutrition charity Caring Cooks of Jersey has revealed it is creating a cookbook to celebrate its tenth anniversary using recipes from schoolchildren, it was reported by BBC News.
Schoolchildren in Jersey have until the October half term to submit their recipes to Caring Cooks of Jersey who will select the 30 best ones to go into the cookbook. The project aims to encourage children to cook healthy and nutritious food that focuses on local produce and reduces food waste.
In 2021 Sarah Copp from Caring Cooks of Jersey won the Chef of the Year accolade at the Public Sector Catering Awards.
Yvonne Corbin, chief executive at Caring Cooks, told BBC News: "This cookbook is a milestone in our decade-long journey, and we're thrilled to invite the children of Jersey to be a part of our future."
