Abstract
Canterbury Christ Church University has been awarded for the hospitality services it provides at its North Homes Campus in Canterbury.
A report by Marketing Quality Assurance Ltd, on behalf of the Institute of Hospitality, awarded the University 'Hospitality Assured', the internationally recognised standard for delivering quality service and business excellence in the hospitality industry. The accreditation process focused on the University's campus catering and conference services team, St Martin's Priory and Hall Place Enterprise Centre and showed that the University has improved on its overall score from last year. Other organisations to achieve Hospitality Assured include The Ritz, London; the flagship NHS Hospital Trust: Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Hospital Trust in London; leading leisure industry operation: Center Parcs; and top conference and exhibition venue: the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC). The University's deputy director of facilities management, Michael Murray, said: "The reaccreditations of Hospitality Assured with a higher result is an important indicator in our efforts to provide a 'Student First' catering and hospitality service and confirms for me and for everyone in the team that we are focused on delivering the best quality, best value, best customer catering service across our campus network on behalf of the Facilities Department and the University."
