Students will prepare and serve three dishes with Cucina head chef Simon Pollendine, from a choice of ten ‘British Classics’. The event was set up to provide an opportunity for students to work in a professional restaurant.
School chef Simon Pollendine, said: “This particular Bistro event will be a little more special, with students preparing Michelin dishes created for Cucina by one of the greatest living chefs. (Its) an amazing experience for any cook, let alone school students. Students will be working with me to cook the recipes created especially for us by one of my foodie heroes, Phil Howard of The Square in Mayfair.”
Organiser Sally Nash, said: “The bistro evenings are always popular with the public. Tables tend to get booked very quickly. This is a fantastic educational experience for the students involved, as well as a great dining experience for local people. The students gain invaluable experience working in a proper restaurant kitchen.”
