The Nia Children’s Foundation was set up and managed by BSC national account manager Shezmin Madhani who visited Kenya when she was 21-years-old. The aim of the charity is to ensure Kenyan children are provided with breakfast and lunch daily.
Madhani, said: “Bunzl Catering Supplies and its partner suppliers are very supportive of my commitment to Nia Children’s Foundation. I was delighted when Rubbermaid approached BCS with the idea of a special sales promotion, where the cash-earned is donated directly to Nia.
“It’s a fantastic way to build our relationship with Rubbermaid, we can talk about their fantastic products in the marketplace and grow sales, all whilst raising money for charity.”
Nia’s Children’s Foundation provides 765 children with breakfast and lunch. In the UK it costs £5 for a muffin and a coffee but this money could also be used to feed a Kenyan child for one month whilst delivering the chance of education at the same time.
