
The finalists represent four different hospitality sectors, including, pub, hotel, golf club and event catering, and universities. Finalists had to submit a three-course meal that can all be prepared on a BBQ within one hour.
Ben Bartlett, president of the British BBQ Association and BBQ Ambassador for RH Hall, and head judge, said: “The entries for this year’s British BBQ Battle are exceptional and show great creativity, flair and use of great British ingredients. On the day I can’t wait to see their skills on the fantastic Crown Verity BBQS.”
Competitors will be judged on taste and appearance as well as BBQ cooking techniques. Cooking will take place on Crown Verity BBQs supplied by distributors RH Hall and all dishes will include at least one Lion sauce.

Last year’s overall winner was Graham Crump of the University of Warwick.
