The water filtration experts are donating £1 for each filter exchanged from today (Friday 1 November) to Saturday 30 November 2013, in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
This year’s campaign is part of Brita’s support and builds on the success of the 2011 filter amnesty, which saw the Brita team raise over £4,000 to go towards helping people who work, or have worked, in the UK hospitality industry and are in a time of crisis.
Miles Dawson, sales director, Brita Professional commented: “The work that Hospitality Action does is a vital lifeline to the people in our industry and their families during times of need - we’re committed to supporting them to make a real difference. This year’s campaign has the potential to raise much-needed funds for this really worthwhile cause.”
Astrid Wears-Taylor, fundraising and marketing manager, Hospitality Action added: “So far this year our charitable spend is 44% higher than the same point in 2012 and 40% more applications for assistance have been processed by our dedicated grants team. The money raised via the Brita filter amnesty will go a long way towards supporting our fellow industry members in need and we are grateful to Brita for nominating us to receive these funds.”
