Now in its 21st year, the annual Scottish Wholesale Association Achievers Awards aim to highlight excellence across the industry, bringing businesses together to celebrate the achievements of the past year.
Brakes Scotland won the Best Marketing Initiative award for their innovative customer loyalty programme, mybrakes rewards. The judges were impressed with the scheme’s customer satisfaction rates as well as the charitable donations it enabled.
Leon French, marketing director at Brakes, said: "We recently celebrated the first birthday of mybrakes rewards and we've achieved an incredible amount in such a short time. From planting over 24,000 trees, to rewarding our customers with over £2.5 million worth of cashback, offering great support in tough trading times. My thanks go out to the hard work of the team, and the invaluable feedback from customers on their needs.”
Brakes Scotland has championed locally sourced Scottish food and drink for over 30 years. Employing over 600 local people, Brakes Scotland partners with 78 Scottish suppliers and serves more than 8,000 customers, across the nation.
Kelsey Brannan, area sales manager, received the Rising Star of Wholesale Award. She commented: "I felt privileged to have even been nominated. Winning was a complete surprise. I can't thank my Brakes colleagues enough for their support over the years, I'm absolutely honoured and still on cloud nine."
Brakes Scotland was named as runner-up for both the Community Service and Great Place to Work Awards on the night.
