The list, published by The Grocer, ranks businesses based on their annual turnover, whilst also looking at numbers of depots and staff, profits, and like-for-like change in turnover and profit.
Other companies featured in the list include JJ Food Service who prevailed against competitive trading conditions to rank 21st in the list for the third year running.
The business reported sales of £182.7m for the year ending March 31st 2014 and saw profits rise by 65%.
Today’s Group’s members, including Dhameca, HT Drinks, United Wholesale and Elbrook all ranked in the top 30, ranking 12th, 17th, 18th and 26th respectively.
Dhameca reported sales of £628m, up 7.4% from the previous year, whilst HT Drinks and Scotland’s United Wholesale both moved up one place after sales rose 5% to £218m and £212m respectively.
Bill Laird, managing director of Today’s Group, said: “This is a great indicator of the resilience and long-term commitments of our wholesalers to the independent sector.
“The retailers, caterers, food outlets and publicans that our members work with have aligned themselves to wholesalers that are strong, forward-thinking and who will be around for the long term.”
Other wholesalers who ranked highly include Bestway (4th), Bidvest 3663 (5th), Connect Group (6th) and Crown Crest (14th).
