BonCulina UK invests £600,000 in equipment to boost food quality
Abstract
BonCulina UK is investing £600,000 in advanced cooking equipment, including braise units, pressure cookers, blast chillers, steam boilers and steam mixers to improve the food quality across the public sector.

This investment aims to improve food quality, enhance energy efficiency, and support the company’s commitment to sustainability. By upgrading to energy-efficient, eco-friendly systems, BonCulina UK will reduce energy consumption, minimise waste, and lower its carbon footprint, all while supporting a greener future.

The new equipment will streamline operations, improve consistency, and elevate food safety, ensuring high-quality meals for clients in healthcare, care homes, business & industry, and defence sectors.

Dave Hume, head of production at BonCulina UK, said: “We are thrilled to integrate Hobart’s renowned, high-performance equipment into our operations.

“Hobart (the ELRO brand) is synonymous with quality and reliability in the foodservice industry, and their equipment will help us elevate food quality, increase efficiency, and reduce energy consumption, all while aligning with our commitment to sustainability and a greener future.”

To maximise the benefits of the new technology, BonCulina UK is implementing a comprehensive staff training programme. This will empower employees to operate the equipment efficiently and support the company’s sustainability initiatives.

Cara Williams, sales director at Hobart UK, added: “This investment marks a pivotal step in enhancing the culinary capabilities at BonCulina UK. By upgrading their equipment, they are not only improving the quality of food but also demonstrating their commitment to sustainability, green practices, and operational excellence.”
