The initiative took place throughout March and April and and saw 550 bakes in March alone according to the charity’s website, making an impact towards its £200k target – enough to fund a researcher and the chairty's work into new treatments for three years.
Blue Apple’s own event was coordinated from Head Office, where bandanas were donned and waistbands loosened to make room for some 'epic' bakes from the entire team.
Sarah Prentice, Sales and Marketing Director and baker of a fine mascarpone and filo tart with homegrown asparagus, said: “The Brain Tumour Charity is close to the hearts of everyone at Blue Apple and is a fantastic cause we continue to champion at every given opportunity. The Big Bandana Bake is always great fun, and we get to eat all day while raising vital funds for future research – it’s win-win for everyone really!”
